Serving Marin for over 30 years, Practical Martial Arts in Corte Madera teaches Freestyle Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), a dynamic blend of Muay Thai Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), traditional boxing, wrestling, and street self-defense.
Our time-tested curriculum teaches real, accessible, physical skills. PMA is proud to provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where both kids, teens and adults can train and grow from wherever they currently are.

Our COMMUNITY
Our style, Freestyle Mixed Martial Arts, is a blend of Muay Thai Kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, traditional boxing, wrestling, Judo and street self-defense. Our curriculum is designed to provide real, accessible self defense skills to students should they ever need it and to provide an authentic, high level, competitive martial arts experience to students of all ages. We are proud to provide a safe and supportive environment in which to train with traditionally structured classes, uniforms and etiquette. Our award winning programs are embedded with functional life skills & effective self defense tools. We pride ourselves on teaching ‘heart’ to all students and creating a bonded community that supports students throughout their lives.
